Principal's Message

Hubbard Families,

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting events and important updates with you.

Mother-Son Dodgeball Game
A quick reminder that our Mother-Son Dodgeball Game will be taking place tomorrow, April 26th, from 4:00-5:00 pm at FMS. This is sure to be a fun and energetic event, and we can’t wait to see our families come together for some friendly competition!

STEAM Night at Hubbard
We are excited to invite all families to STEAM Night at Hubbard on April 30th from 4:30-6:00 pm! This event will feature hands-on activities focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, and it’s a great way to engage with your child’s learning in a fun and interactive way. We hope to see you there!

ISAT Testing Update
Our third graders have officially begun their state ISAT testing, and I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication and effort they are showing. Please remember that a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast (with protein!) are key to setting them up for success on test days. Your support in ensuring they are well-rested and ready to go is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students. We have many exciting things ahead, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Kindergarten Open House

Dear Parents of Incoming Kindergarteners,
We want to let you know that the Kindergarten Open House has been moved from Wednesday, April 16, to Wednesday, May 21. 
The time remains the same, from 2 to 6 p.m. We look forward to meeting you and your child for a tour of the school on May 21.
Why the change?
Our elementary school attendance zones are being reviewed, and final decisions will be made at the May 13 Kuna School Board meeting. 
Although we expect only minor adjustments to the zones, we want to make sure you know which school your child will attend before the Open House.
Parent University: Kindergarten 101
We also invite you to a Parent University event on Monday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Swan Falls High School. This session is designed to help parents learn more about kindergarten and school and answer any questions you may have.
Key Dates:
  • Monday, April 28 - 6:30 p.m.: Parent University: Kindergarten 101, Swan Falls High School

  • Wednesday, May 21 - 2 to 6 p.m.: Kindergarten Open House, tour the school with your child

  • Tuesday, Aug. 19 - 4 to 6 p.m.: Back-to-School Open House, meet teachers, drop off supplies

  • Thursday, Aug. 21: First day of school!

Reminder: Please do not exit your vehicle in the drop off or pick up line! If you need to help your student please park your vehicle and walk them across the parking lot.
