How do I enroll/register my child?

Step 1: Create a parent account in our student information system, "PowerSchool":

Step 2: Complete the online enrollment form. 

Step 3: The online enrollment form allows you to upload digital copies of the following forms:

  • An original or certified copy of your child's birth certificate
  • Immunization records with proof of required immunizations
  • Proof of address (phone bill, utility bill, or signed rental agreement)
  • Legal documentation specifying custody agreements (when appropriate)

If you were not able to upload electronic copies of the documents, you can bring them to the school.


Which school will my child attend?

Enter your address in our SchoolSite Locator tool.

If your home was recently built, it may not appear on the online site. 
If you cannot identify your school attendance area, please call the Kuna School District administrative office at 1.208.922.1000 on weekdays and the receptionist will help you. 


May our family choose another school?

Families may apply to have their child attend a school outside of their attendance area in a process called "Open Enrollment".


What is the school bell schedule?

School Bell Schedules are posted here.
Wednesdays are early release days for elementary.


Do Kuna schools offer busing?

Free busing is available for families who live 1.5 miles or further from their assigned school.

Is there a bus service to daycare from school for young students?

We may be able to transport them to a daycare.

Do Kuna schools offer breakfast and lunch, and how much does it cost?

Yes.  More information is available here. 


What after-school and community sports programs are available for elementary students?

The district partners with the Kuna Boys and Girls Club to offer services for children in 1st through 6th grades.
