We are reviewing the zones for Silver Trail (K-5), Reed (K-5), Hubbard (K-3), and Ross (4-5) elementary schools
This summer (2025), we will repair and reopen the Hubbard Elementary annex. That will give us 10 more classrooms for Kindergarten through 3rd grade students starting next school year.
Students in grades K–3 who attend Hubbard will still go to Ross Elementary for grades 4–5.
Yes. When voters did not approve the March 2023 bond to build a new elementary school (and other spaces), we looked for other ways to help. These extra classrooms at Hubbard can give us some relief at Reed and Silver Trail.

Families can request to keep their child at their current school through open enrollment. If approved, parents must provide transportation.
We should know by the end of April the areas being considered.
We will share these options for feedback. Options and feedback will be provided to the Kuna school board at its May 13 meeting. The goal is to finalize the change before the May 21 Kindergarten Open House. Information will be shared with parents and posted on the district website: www.kunaschools.org/boundaries
It was home to the special education preschool, which is now at Ross and will remain there.
It’s a priority to keep our teachers at their current schools. Some specialized staff will move to support students with special needs in the new extended resource classrooms at Hubbard. Thanks to the levy voters passed in November, we will hire more teachers to help with this change and to reduce crowding.

It will provide some help. The City of Kuna expects between 1,000 and 1,400 new homes to be built in the next 18 months. This could bring 500 to 700 new children to our community.
A Capital Plan Task Force is working on ideas and will give recommendations to the School Board.
