Thank you voters for approving a two-year levy!

 

 

 

The supplemental levy also called the “levy for learning” was approved by voters on Nov. 5 will provide $3.6 million a year for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years.

The use of the levy funds are determined by the language on the ballot and include: 

  • 43 teachers (37 current + 6): $3,359,360
  • Student technology and textbooks: $250,000
  • Total annual levy amount: $3,609,360 per year for two years

Financial Implications

Taxpayers will see the levy on their November 2025 and November 2026 tax bills.

The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $65.48 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions.

The overall district property taxes per $100,000 of assessed value for 2025-26 were projected to be:

  • Tort Levy: $3.58 – Established in Idaho law 
  • Bond Levy: $84.56 – Previously approved by a supermajority of voters
  • Supplemental Levy– $65.48
  • Minus estimated State Property Tax Relief Funding (House Bill 292): – $38.86

Total projected school property tax: $114.76 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value.

Actual 2025: The school property tax rate $47.68 per $100,000 of taxable value.
