Mission Statement:
The Kuna School District inspires each student to become a lifelong learner and a contributing, responsible citizen. There is a known relationship between health and learning, as there is between health services and student well-being and educational success.
School Nurse Assignments:
Our Nursing Program is staffed with three full time Registered Nurses shared between schools. We provide health services so our students and staff are able to learn and work in a safe and healthy environment:

Nursing Services:
The district has experienced Registered Nurses that carry out the health services plan. The school nurse functions as a leader and the coordinator of the school health services team. The team also includes clerical staff, classroom aides, school counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers. Our nurses provide the following health services:
- A system for managing emergencies and urgent situations.
- Assessment of health complaints and care for students with special health needs.
- Identification and management of students’ chronic health care needs that affect educational achievement.
